History

Motivated by the economic, civic and humanitarian needs of a large sector of the population of South Florida, Héctor E. Gutiérrez (Eli Galo), Consuelo Espinoza, Héctor Z Gutierrez, Eli G Gutiérrez and a group of people of different nationalities, They brought together and addressed the economic, civic and humanitarian problems that many residents face and what to do to help them, especially families and people with low economic resources, and thus reached a consensus to form The Nicaraguan American National Council Inc. (NANCOUNCIL) Organization without for profit (501c3) that allows them to help in an institutional and viable way not only to Nicaraguan-Americans but to people of different nationalities. They begin their work by enrolling legal residents and American citizens in the Organization, so that aid to the community is more organized and viable.

Aid would consist of immigration matters, general legal advice and humanitarian aid.

NANCOUNCIL's mission is to support the low-income Nicaraguan-American and other nationality communities, especially those who are members of our organization. NANCOUNCIL will provide US citizens, legal residents and persons in asylum and refuge processes with guidance and assistance in the pertinent procedures. NANCOUNCIL will seek government, corporate, philanthropic, and general public grants for citizenship preparation programs, provide translators for presentation to immigration judges, prepare legal residents for naturalization, and promote civic assimilation through increased knowledge of English and the history of the United States of America, all this will help them better insert into American culture,

We also offer guidance and guidance for all matters related to general legal advice and humanitarian aid, delivery of toys to children and food.

One of our priorities has been helping Nicaraguans who are coming to the United States of America in search of asylum and refuge due to the events that have occurred in Nicaragua since 2018.

Until now we have provided help to the community through the support and cooperation of immigration attorneys and people certified by the Immigration Department who donate their services, but the demand is so great that we need donations from government and private entities.

Our Goal

That Nicaraguan American National Council have our own center where we can continue our mission and serve the community through different programs and disciplines. To achieve this goal, we welcome philanthropists, corporations, companies and charitable organizations with their financial and other donations ..
